SUMMARY:Banya Women's Wednesday with Aya Naturopathic Medicine
DESCRIPTION:This month\, Women’s Wednesday is hosted by Dr. Sarah Jeffrey and Dr. Luciana Silva of Aya Naturopathic Medicine.\nTogether\, they’ll guide us through an evening of sauna\, cold plunge\, rest\, and connection while sharing the science behind why these practices can be such powerful tools for women’s health and well-being.\nThroughout the evening\, you’ll learn: \n\nHow heat and cold exposure support mood\, resilience\, circulation\, recovery\, and nervous system regulation\nHow to approach hydrotherapy in a way that feels supportive rather than stressful\nSimple breathing techniques to enhance the benefits of heat and cold\nHow to listen to your body’s signals and choose the right level of intensity for you\n\nAs always\, Women’s Wednesday follows the Banya ritual of sauna\, cold plunge\, and rest\, with plenty of space for conversation\, reflection\, and community between rounds. This is not a lecture or a class. Think of it as a guided experience where you’ll learn by doing alongside a supportive group of women.\nWhether you’re brand new to hydrotherapy or looking to deepen your practice\, you’ll leave with a better understanding of how to use heat and cold intentionally and confidently. \n**What to bring:** \n\nBathing suit\nTowel\nWater bottle\nRobe if you’d like to lounge\n\nDon’t have a water bottle? No problem. They have hydration stations and cups available throughout the facility. Towel rentals are also available for $4 if needed.\nThere is nothing to achieve tonight and no perfect way to participate. You’re encouraged to move at your own pace\, adjust the intensity of heat and cold to your comfort level\, and listen to your body’s signals throughout the evening. \nTake what serves you. Leave what doesn’t.\nBreathe deeply\, stay curious\, and enjoy the ritual. \nRegister here! Space is limited.
