Why Aya?

At Aya Naturopathic Medicine, we believe hormone symptoms are signals—not simply problems to suppress. Our goal is to understand why you’re experiencing symptoms and create a personalized plan that supports your body’s natural ability to heal.

Unlike a one-size-fits-all approach, we take time to understand your health history, lifestyle, nutrition, stress, sleep, and lab work so your treatment plan is tailored specifically to you.

Conditions We Commonly Support

Perimenopause
Hormonal changes during perimenopause can lead to irregular cycles, mood changes, sleep disturbances, hot flashes, and brain fog. We work to identify contributing factors and create a personalized plan to help you navigate this transition.
Menopause
Menopause can bring symptoms that affect your quality of life, including hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, fatigue, and changes in mood or metabolism. Our goal is to help you feel your best with evidence-informed, individualized care.
PCOS / Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS)
PCOS, also known as Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS), is a complex hormonal and metabolic condition that can contribute to irregular periods, acne, unwanted hair growth, weight changes, insulin resistance, and fertility concerns. We take a root-cause, evidence-informed approach to improve hormone balance, metabolic health, and long-term wellness through personalized care.
Hormone Imbalance
If you’ve been told your hormones are “normal” but you still don’t feel like yourself, you’re not alone. We evaluate the many factors that influence hormone health to help uncover the root cause of your symptoms.
Painful or Heavy Periods
Painful, heavy, or prolonged periods are common but should not be ignored. We investigate possible underlying contributors and develop personalized treatment plans to support healthier, more comfortable menstrual cycles.
PMS & PMDD
Mood changes, irritability, anxiety, cravings, fatigue, and other symptoms before your period can significantly impact daily life. We take a whole-body approach to help reduce symptom severity and improve cycle health.
Hormonal Acne & Hair Changes
Hormonal imbalances can contribute to persistent acne, hair thinning, or unwanted facial and body hair. We work to identify the underlying hormonal and metabolic factors contributing to these changes.
Thyroid-Related Symptoms
Fatigue, weight changes, constipation, hair loss, feeling cold, and brain fog can sometimes be related to thyroid dysfunction. We evaluate thyroid health within the context of your overall hormonal picture.
Fertility Optimization
Whether you’re preparing for pregnancy or simply want to optimize your reproductive health, we help support healthy hormone function, nutrition, and lifestyle factors that influence fertility.
Postpartum Hormonal Changes
The months after childbirth can bring significant physical and emotional changes. We support women experiencing fatigue, mood changes, nutrient depletion, and other hormonal shifts during the postpartum period.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you prescribe bioidentical hormones?
Yes. We prescribe bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) for patients in New Hampshire, Maine, and California when clinically appropriate. For patients in Massachusetts and Connecticut, we collaborate closely with your primary care provider or OB-GYN to coordinate your hormone care.
Do you work alongside my OB-GYN or primary care provider?
Absolutely. We believe the best care is collaborative and are happy to communicate with your healthcare team to ensure your treatment plan is coordinated and comprehensive.
Can I see you virtually?
Yes! We offer secure telemedicine appointments for patients who are physically located in New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, or California at the time of their visit.
Do you treat PCOS / PMOS?
Yes. Supporting women with PCOS (also known as Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome, or PMOS) is one of our clinical focuses. We take a root-cause approach that addresses hormone balance, metabolic health, nutrition, and lifestyle to create a personalized treatment plan.
Do you order lab testing?
Yes. We can order conventional laboratory testing through Labcorp and Quest and, when possible, use your insurance benefits. For HMO plans, we often coordinate recommended testing through your primary care provider. We also utilize advanced functional and specialty testing when it will provide meaningful information to guide your care.
How long does treatment usually take?
Every woman is different. Some patients begin noticing improvements within a few months, while others require longer-term support depending on their health history, goals, and the complexity of their condition. We will create a personalized plan and adjust it as your health improves.
Do you accept insurance?
Aya Naturopathic Medicine is an out-of-network practice, so we do not bill insurance for visits. However, we strive to use insurance for laboratory testing whenever possible. We also accept HSA and FSA cards.
How much does the first visit cost?
Our New Patient Package is $900 and includes a 90-minute comprehensive evaluation plus two 45-minute follow-up visits. We offer a discounted rate of $800 when paid in full upfront, or a payment plan consisting of a $150 deposit followed by five monthly payments of $150. Individual 90-minute consultations are also available for $450.
Can you help if I've already tried hormone therapy?
Yes. Many of our patients come to us after trying hormone therapy without achieving the results they hoped for. We evaluate whether additional factors—such as nutrition, gut health, thyroid function, stress, sleep, inflammation, or metabolic health—may be contributing to persistent symptoms and develop a more comprehensive treatment plan.
